Here in our farmstead kitchen we use our own ecologically grown produce and locally sourced certified organic produce (when possible) to make our raw, fermented products and pickles. We use the old world tradition of ceramic crock fermentation to bring our wild fermented vegetables to a limited number of co-ops and natural health food stores in the Midwest.

Our sauerkraut is wild fermented for a minimum of 6 weeks in stoneware crocks. Each batch is handcrafted in our farmstead kitchen and is a simple and delicious way to get a daily dose of probiotics to feed you and your microbiome.

This may be our favorite ferment, but it’s hard to be partial. We use fresh dill and parsley to make this delicious ferments. Our favorite way to eat it is alongside a plate of our own farm raised scrambled eggs.

Our version of the Salvadoran specialty is packed with depth of flavor. Many of our customers love to mix it with avocados to make a quick guacamole. It is versatile and best used wherever you would use salsa.

The tradition of making kvass originated in Eastern Europe and Russia, where many variations of this divine drink are made to this day. We use our kvasses primarily as a tonic to improve gut health and support the immune system.

This is the first variety of kim chi we started making some 15 years ago, and recently renamed it Chipotle Kim Chi to better reflect its flavor. It is not a traditional Korean Style Kim Chi, but one we think you will love for its delicious complex flavors.

We’ve been playing with traditional kim chi recipes for some time and landed on this one to bring a more standard Korean style kim chi to our customers. It’s packed full of flavor using Red Boat Fish Sauce and Ume Plums, while abstaining from using sugar and other unsavory additives found in some commercial kim chis.

When I started Angelica’s Garden back in 1997, this was one of the first products that I made. The demand for these pickles has been strong and steady so I continue to make them using only certified organic ingredients. They truly are a Classic Midwestern Favorite and one that has become a holiday tradition on many of our customers’ tables.
