Grass Fed Beef
In 2009 we purchased our first Scottish Highland beef cattle and chose this breed for its hardiness and natural instincts. We also took into consideration the needs of our growing family, and with plenty of land for hay and pasture, raising beef seemed a good fit. Now the size of our “fold” (highlanders in a group are called a fold, not herd) is around 18 head, and they play an integral role in building soil on our farm and consuming tons of vegetable scraps left over from processing our vegetable ferments. We sell our beef directly to customers and at area stores. You can find our 100% grass and vegetable fed burger and cuts at Simple Abundance health food store in Red Wing, MN, and we sell our summer sausage at the Wedge Co-op in Minneapolis, MN. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in our beef.
